"Greetings from Bolivia! I'm Daniel Vasquez Burke (I hope you don't forget me), one of the most frequent visitors of Tales of Toy Cars and modest contributor. The June edition of Tales of Toy Cars has fascinating elements as usual. Every month I wait to read the next edition of T. of T. C., to enjoy reading about the passion of collecting and learn more about brands, facts and history.

In June, I buy some used models (in 1:64) from a friend here in my city. In this group of 4 models the most captivating is the Hot Wheels Jack Rabbit Special (made in U.S.A. 1969, it had some fleabites and one wheel with a failed red line print, but above that the car runs impeccable. Other unit that looks really interesting is a Lotus Elise made in China by Mattel in 2004 for the Mc Donald's Company (some happy meal campaign I guess), this model painted in dark British racing green has opaque black windows to hide a little LED red light in the interior that turns on with a discreet switch at the bottom of the car, so the red light goes distributed by clear plastic to some bottom sides and to front and the rear lights. In complete dark, this feature provoke a really good effect, especially at the tail of the car, where you immediately begin to dream about a Le Mans scene, where the car, turns the rear red lights at pushing their disc brakes to reach live red at the end of the Mulsane straight.

But this July, one car surprise me, well almost it hit my mind, I'm talking about the Pagani Zonda C12 made by Motor Max (1:64). This awesome blue unit, came in a 5 pack including a orange street version of the VW Nardo Concept Car. I don't know if you find this Zonda model yet, but without exaggerating, this replica should run for "Toy Car of The Year". The wheels, (almost a copy of the Hot Wheels bbs type wheels) runs flawless, and the rest of the cast shows that Motor Max has serious evolution. The interior details are very good, with a well executed steering wheel. Exterior details such as front and rear lights came very good painted and even C12 logos are over the engine deck.

Other two impressive surprises from Motor Max are a 1949 Mercury Sedan in dark kind a DUB style red look, and a 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery in blue. I include some images of the cars, I hope you like it.

Well that is all for now, I hope you have a nice time these summer finding more cars. Best regards and keep making such wonderful work."
